Welcome to the Richmond County Literacy Council. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving literacy throughout Richmond County, NC. We help adults with GED readiness classes and Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes. We are able to tutor students either one-on-one or in small groups. Last year alone we helped many adults from our community learn to read, write or prepare to take the GED. With the guidenace of our staff, tutors and other volunteers, we are able to develop literacy skills within the students we serve. The Richmond County Literacy Council also works with the Richmond County Job Link to assist Literacy Council students with much needed job placement and readiness skills.
